When millions of Iranians said YES to the Islamic Republic of Iran!!

It has been more than 40 years since that black day, the day when 18 million Iranians said YES to the Islamic Republic of Iran and only 241,000 Iranians said no. At that time, Khomeini had said that if Iranians went to the polls and say YES, they would be blessed to experience a happy life, and if they said no, would return to their original state. Now we have been witnessing that the meaning of happiness was the same as repression, execution, oppression, working children and imprisonment, etc. as the gifts given to poor Iranian people by this nasty evil man. This photo and hundreds of other photos and videos are depicting the same days, that is, the day when people said YES to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979. At that time, people dressed as they wished and went to the polls with their make-up and with their hair unveiled. Undoubtedly, this woman and hundreds of other men and women never thought that the day would come when they could not even be free to choose their clothes and they could not come to public spaces without wearing a hijab. They also did not know that a government would come to power that would meddle even in the smallest matters. At that time people were witnessing how their innocent compatriots were killed by the brutal government and they forgot to dance. This is not to say that the Pahlavi regime was an ideal democratic government, especially for the Kurdish nation, because at that time the most baseless laws were imposed against the Kurdish nation, and many Kurdish leaders and freedom fighters were executed. This is the greatest oppression and injustice against the Kurdish nation on the part of the Pahlavi. But the people with the same modern civilization that Pahlavi had created for them over threw it and unanimously replaced it with a government that most of them agreed with and many did not agree with. But it is not fair that these people to be oppressed for 43 years and have to be struggling with poverty in a country that is rich in natural resources and oil and gas reservoirs. But the people of Iran are getting poorer day by day and they have to turn to many low paid difficult jobs to make a living. Unfortunately, the people of this country do not benefit from the capital of this land because the government uses all its power to stifle the voices of critics and protesters. Without a doubt, every Iranian who goes to fake ballot boxes of the Islamic Republic means that he or she says YES to the rope and execution regime, confirms the killing of the Kurds, says YES to 43 years of oppression, agrees with the massacre of the protesters and those killed in November 2019, and confirms the imprisonment of activists and the hundreds of injustices committed by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Iranian people. The Islamic Republic of Iran has NEVER BEEN AND WILL NEVER BE anyone’s choice. Banafshe Karimzadeh
